Puffy Lab, LLC sells digital subscriptions only through the Apple App Store, where Apple is the merchant of record, and is not registered for VAT in the EU. A US employer identification number has been applied for and will be listed here once issued.

The app

The Puffy iOS app is distributed through the Apple App Store. Apple is the merchant of record for purchases made there, so billing, receipts and refunds follow Apple’s policies rather than ours. Our own terms are on the terms page, and they include the clauses Apple requires.

Consumer dispute resolution

We are neither obliged nor willing to take part in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board (§36 VSBG).

That said, we would much rather fix the problem than have one. Write to help@puffy.pet — a human reads it, and most things turn out to be fixable in a single email.

Liability for content and links

We take care with what we publish, but we are responsible only for our own content, and only as general law requires. We are not obliged to monitor third-party information we transmit or store, or to search it for signs of unlawful activity.

Where we link to an external site, that site’s operator is responsible for it. We check links when we add them, and we remove one promptly if we learn it has gone bad. Tell us if you find one.

The content, design, software, and the Puffy and Asky names and logos are protected by copyright and trade mark law. Reproduction beyond what the law permits needs our written agreement.

Content in the journal is ours unless credited otherwise. If you think we have used something of yours without permission, tell us and we will take it down while we look into it.
